World yarn and fabric production stabilised during the first quarter of this year with little overall change in global output levels, the
International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) has reported.

The Zurich-based group said yarn production levels rose 0.1 per cent from the year-ago quarter with fabric production down 0/2 per cent year-on-year, with both yarn and fabric order books down.

It added fabric inventory levels remained high during the latest
quarter and begun climbing again for yarns.
