Apparel makers focus on developing innovative products

As the demand of consumers for apparels are rapidly changing with the moving trends in fashion, clothing manufacturers are focusing on developing innovative and valuable products.
 
"Fashion trends are always changing and designers are hard at work to achieve as what is fashionable today becomes outdated tomorrow. This has a relevant impact on textile and apparel industry as the loft, hand feel, composition and finish of final product has to conform to the latest fashion trends," said the press office of Thermore, one of the global leaders in the research, production and marketing of thermal insulation for apparel and sleeping bags, in a statement to fibre2fashion.
 
For example, Stretchline, one of the world’s leading narrow fabric manufacturer recently launched a new quality of elastic ‘Fit-U’ where stretchability and power is engineered to suit the contours of the wearer’s body.
 
Mr. Timothy Speldewinde, managing director of Stretchline Group, says, “Fit-U elastic is manufactured with revolutionary polyurethane elastomeric yarns that enable the elastic to achieve a flatter stress/strain curve compared to typical elastic. In Fit-U, the energy a wearer needs to pull the elastic is far less than normal elastic and therefore the pressure it puts on the body is not too different between two varying sizes.”
 
"The Fit-U elastic enables retailers to achieve a fit close to a tailored fit but off the rack, as it adapts to different sizes in their finished garments," he informs.
According to the press office of Thermore, this is the era of information technology, the faster eats the slower; so being able to provide innovative solutions and delivering them to the market with a very fast turnaround is the key of success.
