The sponsors of the Intertextile Shanghai trade fair and several Chinese trade associations have launched the first China International Home Textile Competition.

The contest, open to all home textiles professionals, will present awards in five categories: innovative products, best design, best innovations related to design/application/materials or technology, best design for brand name products and best home textiles theses published since June 2002.

Winning designs will be displayed during the Intertextile Shanghai from Oct. 14 to 16. The competition closes Aug. 25.
