According to the industry sources Pakistani embassy in Beijing and China Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) have been signed a five-year agreement to improve cooperation in textile technology and trade development as per the international market standards.
In the agreement signed in early June, both the sides agreed to increase cooperation in the field of textile and garment industry to strengthen the Sino-Pak trade, they said.
According to the agreement, both the parties hope to enhance mutual cooperation promote the economic, technical and trade development in textile and garment industry on the basis of equality and mutual benefit to two parties through the friendly discussion.
The matters of mutual consensus reached trough discussions were that both parties would endeavor, within the framework of their own respective existing laws and regulations to promote and strengthen the active cooperation in the field of textile and garment industry.
The conditions of the agreement apply to the textile and garment industry including all kinds products including home textile machinery, non-woven textile, fibre processing, textile materials’ import and export and relative exhibitions or fairs.
Both the sides also agreed to carry out information exchange and cooperation in the fields stated in the agreement. For this purpose both the parties would arrange special persons responsible for maintaining regular contact.
