From January 25-28 in 2004 Pakistan’s largest international textile and industrial exhibition, International Trade and Industry Fair (ITIF)Asia 2004 will be held at Karachi Expo Centre.
ITIF Asia 2004 would showcase textile, leather, engineering, financial, chemicals, mining, construction and many more, said Chief Executive, Ecommerce Gateway and Jamal’s Yellow Pages, Dr Khurshid Nizam.
This unprecedented event would provide an opportunity to foreign and local investors to explore the major industrial sectors of Pakistan, which have tremendous potential for collaborations and joint ventures.
A two-day multi-track conference would also be held imultaneously with ITIF Asia 2004, which would highlight opportunities in engineering, textile and leather for investments, joint ventures, collaborations and bilateral trade. The conference would act as a platform for both the local and foreign participants to explore the technologies and industry best practices.
The mega event is being jointly organised by Ministry of Investment and Privatization, Ministry of Industries and Production, Ministry of Commerce, Board of Investment, Ecommerce Gateway, Government of Sindh and Export Promotion Bureau while Jang Group, Export Processing Zone Authority, SMEDA, State Bank of Pakistan and Central Board of Revenue would be co-organisers.
"The government is fully geared towards increasing Pakistan’s exports, strengthening bilateral business relationships with friendly countries, stabilising the country’s economy and providing a peaceful environment to the investors where they are fully confident of the security of their assets and investment in Pakistan," claimed Chief Patron of the event Minister for Privatisation and Investment Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh said.
He further added that raw material, resources and educated manpower is the right mix of ingredients required for any country to make remarkable progress in today’s world. "I am sure that Pakistan is at the brisk of a take-off of economic prosperity since it has the right things at the right place at the moment and I am sure events like ITIF Asia would facilitate achieve the targets set by the government to the path of prosperity," Dr Hafeez hoped.
